Good News (March 2026)
After almost a 3 year break Jim decided with Alvin to do a few final testings and changes and do a small print run to at least have something completed for this long standing project. This resulted in a big improvement to the game with rules corrections and changes to more than 50 cards and making the game outstanding. I am sure that playing in regular old school mtg and premodern tournaments helped us as designers to improve the game.
My friend Staffan Sundblad took a challenge to try to continue the coding of the online game using AI. He is doing a huge amount of progress.
Bad News (July 2022)
My developer disappeared.
I worked on my extra time for around 3 years on creating this game spending more than 1000 hours and more than $40K of my personal money. There are 9 tickets remaining before the online game can be launched for real with deck building and competitive play. I no longer have any developer that can help me and I can no longer alone sink any more time or money on this game. I am looking for a partner such as a publisher or investor that is interested in the game which can help me take the next steps, contact me. The Space War is a really fantastic card game but doing all myself is an uphill battle and life is too short, I have a wife and 3 children as well which I value more than this game.

- Making the online game work better on mobile phones.
- Fixing bugs in the online version.
- Sound effects and new background music for the online game.
- Better in game tutorial.
- Launch kickstarter.

- Jim learned how to prepare the card images for printing. (February 2025)
- New round of playtesting and balancing cards from Jim and Alvin. 22 cards changed. (January 2025)
- Jim and Alvin are once again going over the game, playtesting and balancing all cards with new eyes. This resulted in a new very good rule change to add Life Points to commanders and changes to 41 cards. (August - December 2025)
